It’s a matter of water

In 2056 groundwater is no longer plentiful and in many regions people are becoming desperate.  In a remote part of western Kansas a stranded mother and her son are reluctantly taken in by an eccentric farmer who doesn’t trust anyone from the outside.  Soon the mother and son realize they cannot stay at the farm and must find a way to leave, while an unknown group of people threaten to raid the farm and take anything they can find.
