This website is a sample of work from director and photographer Chuck Cranston. The site is divided into two film galleries, a photography gallery, and a gallery of collected images from several projects. Chuck Cranston has been director for the award winning films “Lakota Vision” (PBS), and “Through Martha’s Eyes” (PBS). He is also known for directing the short films “Story of Family” (PBS), “Breaking Points”, “High Value”, “Rockstar Game”, and “Blessing the Fleet”. His film work explores significant social issues, stories of historical relevance within Native American culture, narrative fiction, and short cinematic expressions. The photography gallery exhibits landscape scenics acquired mostly with iPhone technology. The Mobile Film gallery explores cinematic formatting for mobile film and is created using specialized technology for mobile cinema. In addition, a gallery of production stills provides images from selected work featured on the site and a few behind-the-scenes photos.
Updates to galleries will be noted here.
